Windows Save File

The Save files are in the Saves folder, whose location is – PC Windows:

Windows Save Game Data – Save File: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\SavedGames\RogueLegacy\

Alternative path: C:/Users//My Documents/SavedGames/RogueLegacy

Requirement: At least x1 Save

Steps to find the path:

1. Open the File Explore
2. Paste %USERPROFILE%\Documents\SavedGames\RogueLegacy\
3. Press Enter

Mac Save File

The Save files are in the Saves folder, whose location is – Mac:

Mac Save Game Data Location – Save File: ~/Library/Application Support/RogueLegacy/

Requirement: At least x1 Save

Steps to access the folder path:

1. Press Command + SHIFT + G
2. Then paste ~/Library/Application Support/RogueLegacy/
3. Press Go

Linux Save File

The Save files are in the Saves folder, whose location is – Linux:

Linux Save Game Data Location – Save File: $XDG_DATA_HOME/RogueLegacy/

Alternative path: ~/.local/share/RogueLegacyStorageContainer/

Requirement: At least x1 Save

Rogue Legacy Save File Location – Save Game Files Structure

Each save game has x5 files, and this is what each one contains:

• RogueLegacyBP.rcdat – Upgrade Data
• RogueLegacyLineage.rcdat – Lineage Data
• RogueLegacyMap.rcdat – Minimap Data
• RogueLegacyMapData.rcdat – Rooms, Object, Enemies, etc. Data
• RogueLegacyPlayer.rcdat – Player Configuration Data (runes, equipment, etc.)

About Rogue Legacy

Rogue Legacy is a genealogical rogue-“LITE” where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might have vertigo– they could even be a dwarf.

That’s OK, because no one is perfect, and you don’t have to be perfect to win this game. But you do have to be pretty darn good because this game is HARD. Fortunately, every time you die all the gold you’ve collected can be used to upgrade you manor, giving your next child a step up in life and another chance at vanquishing evil.
